"Okay, I'm listening," he said, and Amira began to outline her plan.
But with Amira's help, they managed to evade capture and make their way to a safehouse on the outskirts of the city. There, they were greeted by a group of supporters who had been waiting for them.
One day, while digging in the prison yard, Michael stumbled upon an old inmate who claimed to have information about a possible escape route. The man, a grizzled old veteran of the prison system, handed Michael a small piece of paper with a cryptic message scrawled on it.
"If you're looking for a way out, meet me at the old clock tower at midnight," the note read. "Come alone."
As a mastermind of escape plans, Michael had always put the needs of others before his own. His brother, Lincoln Burrows, had been wrongly accused of a crime he didn't commit, and Michael had risked everything to break him out of prison. Along the way, they had formed an unbreakable bond, and Michael had discovered a new sense of purpose.
Amira smiled. "Let's just say I have a friend on the outside who's been following your work. We're willing to help you and a few other select prisoners escape, but we need your expertise to make it happen."
